EQUITY IN ATHLETICS

The tools you need for Equity in Athletics analysis:

The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requires postsecondary institutions that receive Title IV funding to submit annual data about athletics to the OPE Equity in Athletics Disclosure Website database. The data provides customized reports for public inquiries about equity in athletics. The EADA is designed to inform prospective students about a school's commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its men and women students. The EADA also requires colleges and universities to provide an annual report that documents how money is allocated to men's and women's teams. The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act is designed to make prospective students aware of a school's commitment to providing equitable athletic opportunities for its men and women students. Any co-educational institution of higher education that participates in a federal student aid program must prepare an EADA Report by October 15. Institutions must also report data to the U.S. Department of Education via this online survey. This is a mandatory survey.

Data collected in this survey will be published by the Office of Postsecondary Education on the Equity in Athletics Data Analysis Cutting Tool website located at http://ope.ed.gov/athletics.
